ProVent’s Micropumping™ system works like a water vapour removal system: The profiled undersurface forms a system of air channels that ensures that the air is exchanged as you walk and that the water vapour in the undersurface is vented. This is enabled by the stepping movements, providing pressure and allowing air in the subfloor to circulate constantly. This ventilation draws out the water vapour so that the subfloor remains dry and mould growth is prevented. Practical: The durability is thus automatically extended with every step.

It reduces the volume of the room sound by 9 dB, and the impact sound is even insulated by an outstanding 20 dB. And if you are wondering what exactly makes the difference here: Room sound – or walking sound, resonance or reflection – is the noise emission that occurs when walking in a room. Impact sound, on the other hand, is the noise emission generated when walking on a floor and transmitted through the raw concrete ceiling into the room below.
