All GRAND SELECTION models are characterised by the fact that they not only look amazingly similar to their great role model natural wood, but even feel like it. This is exactly what is achieved by an impregnated film made from a proprietary paper and specially prepared resins. In the process, the paper is soaked with the appropriate resin mixture, dried and then cooled. It is then cut into sheets, placed on the plate and pressed at a temperature of about 180 degrees for several seconds. There, Decor and the 3D texture (synchronised EIR texture) are matched to each other in unique perfection. The high-quality surface ensures that the floor is incredibly abrasion-resistant and durable.

How are GRAND SELECTION floors actually manufactured?
Made of wood, especially Swiss wood. In doing so, we make sure that we use wood for all panels that is no longer used in the industry or in other wood processing companies. This is not only good for the environment, but also perfect for what distinguishes our floors and makes them so hard and resistant: the stiff organic core.
For this purpose, the cleaned raw material – the so-called wood chips – is shredded in a refiner so that the wood splits into its fibre strands. After these have been soaked in glue, dried and sorted, they go into a press where an HDF MR panel is formed under high pressure and temperature. High Density Fibreboard Moisture Resistant is the foundation of every GRAND SELECTION floor.
