The ISO 14001 measures help to protect the environment and ensure that resources are used sustainably while also improving energy efficiency.

With the voluntary declaration of membership, we commit ourselves to sustainable climate protection by reducing CO₂ emissions and optimising energy efficiency in all our tasks. We also participate in the federally audited Energy Management System of the Energy Agency for Industry (EnAW).

The EPD certificate attests to the eco-balance of our floors. The information on energy and resource use guarantees that our products do not contribute to environmentally harmful processes such as acidification, over-fertilisation or the greenhouse effect.

The SWISS LABEL is awarded to quality products and services from Switzerland. It illustrates the origin of our products and also symbolises the close ties that SWISS KRONO AG has with Switzerland as a business location and place of work.

SWISS KRONO products are certified with the Swiss wood label of origin (HSH), which declares the origin of our wood from the Swiss forest or wood products from Swiss operations. It represents Switzerland’s strict standards and illustrates our famous Swiss quality.

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) trademark is a global symbol of transparency and credibility. It guarantees that wood used in a product comes from sustainable, environmentally responsible forestry.

With the FloorScore certification, each of our floors meets the strict requirements for volatile organic compounds (VOC) and formaldehyde emissions for classrooms and offices. It is therefore hardly surprising that the particularly low emissions also ensure good indoor air quality.

GREENGUARD is a globally recognised standard for the labelling of particularly low-emission products that are subject to strict requirements regarding the release of volatile organic compounds and toxicity and are tested for a wide range of chemicals. Floors of this type are also used in highly sensitive environments such as schools, kindergartens or healthcare facilities.

Our products are CARB2-certified, therefore comply with the strict emissions standards of the California Air Resources Board for formaldehyde emissions. The award sets stringent requirements for formaldehyde levels in uncoated chip-panel, fibre-panel and plywood, to which we are always committed.
