The colour and surface
The colour and surface
If you like a floor, be sure to request an original sample. This allows you to check its colour in a wide range of lighting conditions. Even if they give a good impression – do not trust the colour images on the internet or in catalogues alone. Then compare the pattern with your furnishings. Pay particular attention to the texture of the floor, as this will be responsible for its elegant appearance. Also observe how the synchronised EIR texture of the floor can change depending on cold or warm light.
The size
The size
The larger or smaller the panels, the more different their effect on the harmony of the room: Smaller formats work better in smaller rooms, while larger formats work better in larger rooms. Also true the other way round: You can also use large panels for smaller rooms to make them look larger. Therefore, compare the different sizes of the GRAND SELECTION models to consciously influence the room design.
Finish
Finish
Are you into perfection? Then, for a perfect “finish”, make sure you order the right skirting boards and, if necessary, stair edge for the finish on the wall or stairs. You will find the instructions for this on our page under Accessories.
Acoustics
Acoustics
A good impact sound underlay also ensures that your room has a certain degree of perfection and pleasant acoustics. A good floor underlay reduces room and impact sound and at the same time ensures the under-ventilation of the floor, which prevents moisture and mould growth. Another advantage of this: The life of the floor is significantly extended.
Thickness
Thickness
The thickness of a floor also makes a difference: For example, 8 mm thick panels go perfectly with ceramic tiles, while 14 mm thick panels are ideal for larger rooms and heavy furniture. Therefore, check the different thickness of the floors or simply ask for advice at the specialised retailer.
