GRAND SELECTION products are not only extremely durable and exceptionally hygienic, but also very easy to clean and maintain. This way, each of our floors makes it as easy as possible for you to enjoy it for a long time. Nevertheless, you should observe the following tips for the sustainable care of your floor.

In most cases, clear water is sufficient. If you want to use cleaning agents, please use gentle products, as aggressive agents damage the surface of the floor. Please also refrain from using cleaning agents with wax, curd soap or soft soap, as these leave streaks. Our insider tip here: the KRONOSWISS Cleaner.
Avoid use marks
Avoid use marks
Even though our floors stand any comparison in terms of robustness: Stick small felt glides on chair and table legs or other movable furniture. This way there will not be marks. In addition, make sure that mobile furniture has rubber castors, so-called hard floor castors.
Repairing small scratches
Repairing small scratches
Olive and baby oil work wonders when it comes to making small scratches disappear. How? First clean the floor and then rub a small amount of oil with a cloth on the superficial damage. Afterwards, you can simply remove any excess. Another tip: Streaks from shoes can be easily removed with conventional eraser.
Repair deep scratches yourself

Repairing deeper damage involves a little more effort: Get a correspondingly coloured wax bar for the different wood tones of the floor. Heat it and then pour the wax directly into the damaged areas until they are sealed. After drying out, carefully remove the excess with a plane until the surface is even again. In case of large scratch marks, please consult a specialist.
Removing wax/resin from the floor

First allow the resin or wax to dry or cool completely before removing most of it by lightly scraping with a blunt object. You can heat the leftovers with a hairdryer or hot water for a short time and wipe up the liquid mass with a kitchen towel. For resin, it is best to use a cosmetic tissue or a cotton pad with acetone nail polish remover.
Ensure ideal room conditions
Ensure ideal room conditions
The ideal room conditions for GRAND SELECTION floors are a temperature of 20-22° Celsius and a humidity of 50-60 %. A little more or less is certainly no problem, but if there is permanently higher or lower humidity, then we recommend an air humidifier or dehumidifier. This is good for the floor and almost certainly good for all those who move on it every day.
